In stock form, the new Mustang GT's produce 412 ponies and 390 ft-lbs of torque, enough to throw you back in your seat.  But if you want to be faster than everyone else, you'll need to give your Stang every chance to make maximum horsepower.  Given the fact that you've got an American made V8 under the hood, you should probably start with a performance exhaust system.  Hot off the presses is a complete exhaust system from the pro's at MBRP, custom designed for the new 5.0.  MBRP's new exhaust system is can be added in sections, or all at once: choose from a cat back exhaust system, long tube headers and high-flow H-Pipes.

The MBRP muscle car exhaust system comes in both T409 stainless steel and aluminized steel.  If you want it loud, get the race version.  But if you don't want to wake up the neighbors every night, stick with the street version... it's still loud enough to let you hear the rumble coming from under your hood. Both systems let your engine put another 9 horsepower and 13 ft-lbs of torque on the pavement.

MBRP's long-tube headers feature 1.875" primary tubes with a 3" merge style collector with a merge spike. 3/8" flanges ensure a solid, durable construction and there are O² bungs mounted in the collectors for improved tuning abilities.  These exhaust headers include the oxygen sensor extension harness, so you'll be ready to tune out-of-the-box.

Finally, the new H-Pipes by MBRP are available in 3 flavors: the 3" factory cat back, a high-flow catted H-Pipe and the monstrous off-road-only cat-less H-Pipe.  These H-Pipes will produce major gains over your factory H-Pipe, but is still an easy bolt-on install.

While horsepower gains vary by the part you choose, you can maximize horsepower by installing all three.  With the Race cat-back exhaust, H-Pipe, headers and a performance tuner, you can expect +44 HP and +28 FT-LBS of torque!  Here are the specific part numbers with this new release:
