K&N has just released a new air intake system for the 2011 Dodge Durango and the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.7-Liter V6 engine. Stock, this engine dynoed with 203.76 horsepower and 197.74 Ft-Lbs of torque. And even though this is a V6 engine, it's built tough, boasting a 6000 pound towing capacity! If you're not hauling a trailer, this little V6 hauls butt down the roads. But K&N noticed some restrictions in the stock Jeep Grand Cherokee intake. After their engineers did some fine tuning, they were able to extract an extra 11 horsepower and 10 FT-LBs of torque with a bolt on a K&N cold air intake. The best part is that this power gain comes throughout the rev band, giving you more power across the board. Installing a cold air intake is pretty simple, taking up to 90 minutes and requiring only basic hand tools.
And if you own a new 2011 Durango, you'll be pleased to know that the K&N 77-1560KTK cold air intake can give you the same type of horsepower gains. Let your Dodge Durango intake breathe freely so you can lay down some rubber on the road.
