"My tent fit my truck perfectly. This was questionable because I have an older, 3/4 ton Dodge p.u. with a tool box. The tent your saleman recommended fit perectly, with plenty of room to stretch out in. I love it! Deb K."

Great idea!

"We have used our Napier SUV tent on two weekend trips and are really glad we bought it. The few moments that it takes to attach or detach the tent to our Honda Element are outweighed by the advantage of having access to our gear in the back of the vehicle from inside the tent. No more unzipping and zipping tent doors and opening and closing vehicle doors to get something that you need from the vehicle. The 10'X 10'size was perfect, as it is tall enough that we can stand up inside without hitting our heads on the lantern hanging from the gear loft. We sealed the seams before our first trip and have had no rain problems. We ordered the long rain fly for even more rain protection and actually use both the short one and the long one at the same time for two awnings. No hesitations on recommending this tent to SUV owners! Thanks!"

"Like it a lot.Easy to set up. Quality is good. Only have ONE concern. Why do I have to seal the seams? A pain. I kayak in northern NY & it rains a lot here.So I just bought the rain fly. Nice. We like it enough to buy another for our son, recently back from Iraq. Strongly recommend,( please seal the seams). Jeff"

Dome 2 Go - the Ultimate Test 4.5 stars

"A couple weeks ago, we realized the napier dome to go tent was about the same as everything else in 70 mph wind. Miserable. The tent held, although it needed a little support on the end that doesn't attach to the car, we used the closest heavey and movable thing, a truck. The tent, on that side, needs some hooks high up so that it can be properly staked down. Where it attaches to the car holds quite well and the seal wasn't bad. it didn't rain very hard, so I cannot attest to the seal as far as water goes. Next time perhaps. I used some towels where the corners of my hatch touch the tent, to prevent the corners from tearing the tent. During the wind, the pole that holds the awning in place ripped the tent where the end of the pole holds. Oops. This won't happen if you unhook your awning during wind. Otherwise, the tent/car combo proves to be an excellent use of space, and virutally creates a more enjoyable camping environment. Cheers!"

Good tent, especially if it rains

Posted on 05/14/2007 by Philip W. - 2007 Ford Expedition (Chesterfield,MO)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I fish in Missouri and take the 4x4 SUV to many great out of the way areas. I sleep in the truck, but if it is buggy or rains, I use to pack up and leave. Now I can wait out a summer shower in comfort. It is nice to have the tent, a cooler, a nice folding chair and a little table. Air flow on a warm night can be a problem, so I bought a magnetic screen for the SUV window. The tent is a little pricy, but beautifully designed. You can buy cheaper tents, but not one that turns you SUV into a home in the woods. All said, it is perfect for one or two people. The best part is that the dog doesn't have to sleep in the truck. He has his own bed in the tent and can come and go through the zipper flap."
