Description

Plug in the Superchips Cortex Programmer, press a few buttons and get ready to feel the power. Dreamed up by the performance innovators that brought you the famed Superchips Max Micro Tuner and FlashPaq.

Just like Superchips’ previous examples of performance excellence, the Superchips’ Cortex Programmer feeds pure power through your diagnostic port and into your engine’s “brain”. The Cortex is also smart enough to read and clear diagnostic codes.

After advanced capability? The Superchips Cortex outsmarts the competition by logging performance times and speeds. And, it saves the performance data so you can show off your best runs. Plus, thanks to online USB updating capability, you’ll always have access to the latest and greatest tunes.

Not only does your Superchips Cortex Programmer come with a standard 1-year warranty, you’ll also get a 2-year powertrain warranty for extra protection – you won’t find that on any other programmer. Make the smartest choice in performance programming and start tuning with the Cortex.

Notes

  • Flex Fuel Vehicles: fueling with E85 is not recommended in conjunction with your Superchips unit. Burning E85 reduces efficiency and power compared to using gas, which reduces the power you’ll get from your Superchips.

"Easily installed. Instant results, Tightened up shift pattern, more power and responce.. Haven't noticed any better fuel mileage as yet. Probally because I drive it like my 2004 Vette on occasion. Also cold weather warm-ups will cost mileage. I still can't over that the factory would release my vehicle with out this improvement to begin with.. Overall I am very satifyed thanks"

"I originally had a Hypertech Power Programmer 3, but after gaining 0 hp and 0 mpg, it was a waste of money. The only thing it allowed me to do was change tire sizes, raise the top speed limiter to 128, and raise the rev limiter 500 rpm more. The Superchips Cortex Programmer on the other hand actually works. You can feel a difference and it gives you better options. You can raise the rev limiter to 6300 rpm, top speed limiter to 140 mph, adjust the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts at wide open throttle (factory shift points are at 5800 rpm this allows you to change it to 6100 rpm for 1-2 shift and 6000 rmp for 2-3 shift), and change the speedometer for different tire sizes. The biggest thing I notice is how much firmer it shifts, and my low and mid range power has increased. I also bout a Corsa Sport exhaust system with Y pipe and a AEM bruteforce cold air intake. It really wakes up my 5.7 making it even easier to turn over the tires. I haven't had a chance yet to notice any fuel mileage gains, due to the fact that I've been rodding my truck around because I enjoy the loud exhaust note from the sport exhaust. I would highly recommend anyone with a 5.7 hemi to buy this programmer, I think it's well worth the money."

"I recently drove 950 miles round trip-all at highway speed. My MPG was 1.5 to 2.0 improved. I've noticed improvement in response at lower speeds and better shifting."

"The Cortex 3950 has improved the shift points in the tow mode and made towing My fifthwheel a lot smoother. I first tuned to the performance mode, what a differance in power. Installing the programs took about 15 min. I like the idea of being able to download the latest update for my tunner anytime. Works great."

"I had to connect a small battery charger to my truck in order to get the programmer to work. The truck has a new Optima battery fully charged. After calling in with a code, they told me my truck had low voltage. So, we try again. This time I am instructed by the programmer to update my device at flaspaq.com with update 1zh31a. This did no good. After calling in again, I am told that the device should not have sent me to flashpaq. Now I have to download the superchips software and install it again. They sent me out to my truck to go over everything again (I must have done something wrong the first time). We get the same message about flaspaq and the file. I am now told to give them my VIN and a week to write some more code for my truck. It works now after waiting and updating again. The instruction manual is very sparse about what to do and how to recover from errors. On the good side, the truck acts like it LIKES me to push the pedal down now. No more sluggish passing. It sure would be nice if Superchips had a simulator online for the programmer to practice with. Everytime you want to change something or just check out what the device will do, you are waiting for it to gather data and clear memory. Here in Mississippi it is HOT just sitting in the truck with the door closed and no breeze at all while you are looking at a screen moving like a snail. Greg"
