Superchips VIVID LINQ - Release Date & Feature Details

Existing in the 21st century is pretty cool. We've got luxuries and creature comforts that far surpass anything found in the Middle Ages. I mean, back then, you couldn't walk into a room and simply have lights turn on.  You couldn't travel on smooth, open roads at 65+ MPH.  And you most certainly couldn't tune the horses pulling your carriage using wireless magic from a shiny hand held communicator.  And thanks to the wizards at Superchips, we can now tune up your ponies, cable free.

Last September, we added the Superchips VIVID PAQ to our site. It's a handheld tuner using Google's Android OS. Android tablets are pretty cool, they can do a million different things, but what sets the VIVID PAQ apart from the rest is that it comes with a wireless OBD-II interface link that lets the tablet tune your engine's ECU!  It was this tuner that took us from the Dark Ages into the future.  This was a revolutionary leap forward that will forever change the way we tune our vehicles.

But what if you already own an Android tablet or cell phone?   Unless your current Droid is getting old, buying another one just to get the OBD-II link might seem like over kill.  Well now you don't need to need to buy the cow to get the milk!  The Superchips VIVID LINQ is the same wireless OBD-II interface that's packaged with the VIVID PAQ.  It'll link up to any Android-powered device using v2.2 or newer, and the VIVID LINQ is powered using a 12v wire in the OBD-II port, so installation is as easy as plugging it in.

Superchips has over three (3!) decades of tuning knowledge, and they've packed all of it into their line of performance chips. The VIVID platform lets you tune your vehicle for more horsepower and torque, and they've included tunes for performance, towing, fuel economy and "off road uses".  Plus, you'll get a real-time gauge set that displays vital engine parameters, an inclinometer, a maintenance reminder and a fuel economy mentor.  In short, you get TONS of features in a device that you probably already carry around in your pocket.

The VIVID LINQ should be available for sale on or around February 24th, 2012.  If you're ready to step out of the dark and into the 21st century, then start saving up some shillings.
