Description

Forever eliminate the dreaded spongy-pedal syndrome. The SSBC Residual Pressure Valve retains brake-line pressure which keeps your brake pedal firm. A firm pedal engages quicker, giving you perfect braking response every time.

The Residual Pressure Valve works by stopping brake fluid from draining back into the master cylinder. This keeps caliper pistons and brake shoes from fully retracting so your brake system stays primed and ready for action—without brake drag.

Available in a 2 PSI model for disc brakes and 10 PSI for drum brake systems. Drums require more pressure to compensate for return-spring tension. Both models come with a polished-aluminum or anodized finish: blue for the 2 PSI valve and red for the 10 PSI valve. Crafted from high-quality billet aluminum and built to last, your SSBC Residual Pressure Valve is backed by a 1-year warranty.

Disk brakes for my antique

Posted on 07/20/2007 by Charles G. - 2003 Pontiac Vibe (Butler,PA)

"I installed disk brakes on my 51 Studebaker; since the master is located below the wheel cylinder, a check valve is needed to keep the line from draining. A 2 psi SSBC valve has done the trick-- the brakes work fine!"
